Extensive knowledge of GDPR, UK GDPR, and other regional privacy and data governance regulations, including those related to central banks is required. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation, and experience in managing privacy programs or data protection/governance initiatives within the financial services sector are necessary. Proficiency with privacy management tools is also needed.
The Privacy Manager will act as the primary privacy representative for the EMEA region, ensuring alignment with global privacy and data governance standards. They will lead the strategic development and implementation of the EMEA Privacy Program, providing guidance on emerging privacy risks and compliance requirements to senior leadership. Responsibilities include overseeing regional privacy operations such as data mapping, PIAs, DSARs, and incident management, collaborating with teams to remediate privacy risks, and supporting the refinement of business processes to incorporate privacy controls. The role also involves managing privacy relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with EMEA privacy laws, collaborating with legal and compliance colleagues, and participating in internal committees. Additionally, the Privacy Manager will build relationships with business unit leaders, deliver privacy training, and lead the EMEA implementation and management of OneTrust modules, developing regional privacy metrics and reporting.
