Requirements

  • Current 1L with a demonstrated interest in privacy, security, and AI
  • Able to collaborate in person at least once a week in San Francisco hub throughout the internship
  • Problem-solving and detail-oriented approach to work
  • Track record of excellent organizational skills and unfailing follow-up to manage multiple activities of varying difficulty, priority, and complexity
  • Ability to independently move projects forward by gaining support from others while working in a cross-functional role
  • Entrepreneurial drive and comfort working in ambiguous, quickly changing environments
  • Strong sense of accountability and integrity, taking ownership of projects and responsibilities, and resolving issues proactively

Responsibilities

  • Work on at least one end-to-end legal challenge directly related to Superhuman’s high-level goals and priorities
  • Develop expertise in business problem solving, legal issue spotting, and assessing legal risk for complex privacy issues
  • Gain exposure to global privacy laws and experience navigating and balancing complex privacy regulations against business needs
  • Perform legal research, analyze findings, document actionable findings, and give oral presentations of findings to internal partners
  • Partner with dedicated mentors to research, analyze, and advise on projects owned throughout the internship
  • Collaborate with legal professionals to get exposure to various in-house legal practices (e.g., product counseling, intellectual property, commercial counseling, litigation, employment counseling) in addition to enterprise contracting
  • Leverage unique perspective to provide feedback on legal strategy and risk management
  • Own projects supporting privacy strategy and compliance for Superhuman Platform Inc.’s global privacy program (including Grammarly, Coda, and Superhuman Mail offerings)
