Requirements

B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical, Bio-Medical, or related field and 6+ years of related experience
Experience in system engineering practices including risk analysis, requirements documentation, corrective and preventive actions, multi-discipline interactions
Expertise in safety critical systems (inferred from context)

Responsibilities

Apply solid understanding of standard Systems engineering principles to resolve difficult problems, from conception to final design with team input
Plan, schedule, and lead project assignments in the evaluation, selection and adaptation of various engineering techniques, procedures and criteria with minimal guidance
Apply general system techniques to perform root cause analysis on existing project issues
Drive updates to system documentation
Collaborate with quality on CAPA/NCR issues
Drive new product development initiatives from a system perspective
Work across disciplines collaborating with cross functional teams
Embrace accountability for critical decisions and deliverables within area/role of responsibility and expanded complexity
Apply diligence in determining the best solution(s) for technical issues, focusing on critical information
Apply creative thinking to resolve issues
Create design concepts and research methodologies that best meet current and future customer & business needs for a product or process domain area
Understand user needs and apply to product realization
Understand and contribute to resolution of competing constraints among inter-related functions
Contribute to the program/project or the organization’s technical strategy
Demonstrate good business judgment in balancing budget, profitability and vendor relationships; understand business financials and resulting impacts
Thoroughly understand and drive application of phases of life cycle management
Apply life cycle management principles within exploratory, new product development or sustaining phases
Perform as an independent reviewer in technical and design reviews
Leverage knowledge of technology, process, and/or therapy domains to drive solutions and product design realization
Propose and drive solutions to sophisticated technical problems
Demonstrate understanding of and adherence to FDA, ISO and IEC design control procedures, regulations and standards within area of responsibility/expertise
Apply risk scenarios and technical risk mitigation tools and complete mitigation strategies to ensure optimal results
