Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and have at least 8 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on AI/ML systems. Significant experience with computer vision and Large Language Models (LLMs) is required, including expertise in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. A Master’s degree or Ph.D. is preferred. Strong understanding of object detection techniques, including RT-DETR, and experience with generative models is essential. Familiarity with deploying and maintaining production-level AI/ML pipelines is also necessary.
As a Principal / Sr Principal Engineer, you will lead the design and architecture of scalable AI/ML systems for sports media analysis, spearhead the development and training of deep learning models, implement advanced computer vision models for identifying visual elements, integrate LLMs and Generative AI for various tasks, build and deploy production-ready AI/ML pipelines, and guide the development of internal tools and user interfaces for showcasing model capabilities. Furthermore, you will stay at the forefront of AI research and innovation, contributing to the advancement of Nielsen Sports’ data and analytics solutions.
