Requirements

Proficiency in frontend development using JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS (Material-UI, Bootstrap, React Router, Redux Toolkit, Emotion, Next.js) with focus on performance, accessibility, and Core Web Vitals
Expertise in backend development with Node.js, Express.js (or Koa.js), PostgreSQL, and cloud-native patterns for scalable, reusable, maintainable services and APIs (RESTful, microservices)
Experience with AWS services (ECS Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch) and containerisation (Docker)
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild) and code quality practices (ESLint, Prettier, Husky, lint-staged)
Proficiency in leveraging AI tools like GitHub Copilot for development workflows, prompt engineering, AI-assisted pair programming, rapid prototyping, test case generation, and debugging
Ability to design and implement robust, fault-tolerant, performant, and secure backend services
Experience integrating with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Skills in authoring technical documents (high-level design documents, architectural blueprints, technical standards, best practice guidelines)

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and delivery of business-critical applications across frontend and backend systems
Develop and contribute to frontend and backend frameworks using ReactJS and Node.js
Design and build scalable, reusable, and maintainable backend services and APIs
Replace commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems with modern, in-house scalable solutions using AWS and Docker
Develop user-facing interfaces with React focusing on performance, accessibility, and Core Web Vitals
Coach and mentor junior engineers to raise the overall technical bar
Define and maintain engineering standards, including CI/CD and code quality practices
Collaborate across teams to deliver impactful features with measurable value
Leverage AI tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and reduce boilerplate
Lead authoring of technical documents to drive technical excellence and cross-team alignment
Demonstrate proficiency in prompt engineering for AI tools
Use AI-assisted pair programming for prototyping, test case generation, and debugging
Encourage and mentor team members on responsible and secure use of AI in the software development lifecycle
