Requirements

Solid technical and operational security background in disciplines such as vulnerability management, incident response, identity management, engineering, etc., on an enterprise or global level
Experience as subject matter expert and pod lead for a geographical region in security fusion operations
Ability to provide mentorship to Fusion operation team members and assist Senior Manager in developing streamlined processes adapted to Nielsen’s Fusion model
Capability to manage day-to-day operations of a regional pod, including coverage, scheduling time off, training, and synchronizing operations between pods
Skills to integrate and manage relationships with trusted partners for seamless and productive outcomes
Ability to guide, manage, and foster talent of the team to support the overall fusion operation center mission

Responsibilities

Provide mentorship and support to staff, junior associates, and contractors
Assist Senior Manager in building operational model between vendor partners and internal security staff
Build and maintain SLAs for regional pod activities
Attend weekly staff/operations meetings and prepare the team to speak at these meetings
Manage a team of security fusion analysts responsible for analysis and management of fusion related activities
Provide oversight of tier 1 security operation activities, including triage and escalation to appropriate subject matter experts
Provide oversight to incident response activities (triage, root cause analysis, escalations, notifications, communication, etc.)
Determine the severity level of incidents, act as a conduit for escalation, and ensure accordance with requirements
Monitor the organization's computer networks and systems to identify violations and security threats that need to be resolved
Develop and maintain Security Procedures in support of Fusion mission
Provide regular reporting of Fusion Operation metrics with specific attention to efficiency and effectiveness measures
Deliver reports, briefings, and assessments
