  • Hold a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent as a minimum
  • Have at least 15 years of industry experience, including 7 years with an oil and gas operator
  • Demonstrate proficiency in discipline-related software such as PETREL, ECLIPSE, T Navigator, CMG; Jewelsuite subsurface modeling skills are a plus
  • Possess strong knowledge of reservoir engineering topics and the ability to engage clients on discipline applications
  • Have experience across multiple regional petroleum basins and understand geological settings and reservoir complexities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs and projects

Responsibilities

  • Providing reservoir engineering input to multi-disciplinary projects, including field development planning, reservoir performance analysis, and reserves estimation and auditing
  • Conducting reservoir engineering studies using state-of-the-art techniques such as reservoir simulation, material balance, decline curve analysis, well test analysis, and PVT/SCAL data analysis
  • Advising clients on reservoir engineering matters, reserves and resources evaluation, and reporting methodology
  • Managing projects, performing peer reviews, and acting as the principal point of contact for clients, ensuring routine follow-up and project delivery
  • Contributing to business development activities and leading technical input for client proposals
  • Acting as the region focal point for development, implementation, or optimization of deliverables, services, technologies, workflows, or processes
  • Representing GCea externally through technical publications and participation in industry organizations
  • Mentoring and developing junior staff members
  • Ensuring compliance with GCea procedures, business, and quality management systems
  • Act as a technical expert for reservoir engineering consulting projects and coordinate communication between clients and the RTS region team
  • Lead reservoir engineering studies, manage technical work across disciplines, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality reports and presentations
  • Support business development by providing technical and commercial input for proposals and preparing presentations for external clients
