Requirements

  • Ability to advocate for time and space to build reusable components
  • Experience shipping features end-to-end at a high pace
  • Comfortable acting as a product manager and designer (e.g., talking to users, understanding needs, coming up with ideas, industry research, designing interfaces, prototyping, iterating based on user feedback)
  • Ability to take ownership over a large portion of a product and own projects end-to-end
  • Willingness to wear hats traditionally worn by product and design teams (e.g., research competitors, write product specs, make wireframes)
  • Background in computer science or equivalent problem-solving experience solving problems (not just tickets)
  • Experience building innovative software with agency and ownership

Responsibilities

  • Ship features end-to-end at a high pace
  • Set up reusable building blocks across the stack
  • Take ownership of a large portion of one product
  • Own projects end-to-end, including researching competitors, writing product specs, making wireframes, designing interfaces, prototyping, and iterating
  • Build user-facing features, such as automated interview scheduling (calculating possible times from interviewer pools and constraints, presenting via responsive web app)
  • Develop generalized architectures, like declarative filter systems (consistent UI for complex filters on any record, compiling to SQL backend)
  • Advocate for engineering best practices and innovation
  • Impact users directly through creative and innovative software in an almost-no-meeting culture
