Responsibilities

Lead and approve the design, development, and validation of injection molds and tooling systems
Review and refine mold designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost-efficiency
Provide technical guidance to internal and external tooling suppliers during mold build and qualification
Define and optimize injection molding processes for new and existing products
Conduct process capability studies, DOE (Design of Experiments), and root cause analysis to improve quality and throughput
Oversee mold trials, validation runs (IQ/OQ/PQ), and process documentation
Scout and evaluate advanced tooling technologies (e.g., conformal cooling, hot runners, multi-shot, insert molding)
Recommend capital investments and tooling standardization initiatives
Lead tooling-related aspects of cross-functional NPI programs from concept to ramp-up
Maintain project timelines, cost targets, and risk mitigation plans
Collaborate with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and global teams
Mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices in tooling and molding
Ensure tooling designs meet relevant regulatory, safety, and quality standards
Maintain documentation and change control in compliance with internal and external quality systems
