Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent for degrees earned outside the United States per 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A)) and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
  • Broad knowledge of project management (may have)

Responsibilities

  • Performs and analyzes financial modeling, economic research, trends and studies on subjects such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital, cash flow, investments, cost against budget, variance analysis, forecasting, financial planning, and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements and/or income statements
  • Prepares reports of findings and recommendations, compiles and consolidates financial plans, and provides insights to management
  • Develops, maintains, and establishes operational specifications for financial information systems, considering information flow, volume, ad hoc reporting, and analysis
  • Provides analysis on business development and monitors business performance by unit, division, or group
  • Delivers and/or manages projects assigned, works with stakeholders to achieve desired results, and adheres to policies using specialized knowledge and skills
  • Acts as a mentor to colleagues or directs the work of lower-level professionals; coaches, reviews, and delegates work to lower-level specialists
  • Manages large projects or processes, often spanning outside immediate job area, with considerable latitude in determining deliverables and limited oversight
  • Contributes to defining direction for new products, processes, standards, or operational plans based on business strategy, impacting work group results
  • Develops solutions to moderately complex problems and/or makes moderate to significant improvements to processes, systems, or products independently
  • Represents organization as primary contact for specific projects and initiatives; communicates with internal/external customers and vendors, negotiates, and influences decision-making
  • Provides guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within job area; manages major/moderately complex projects involving delegation and review of work products, acting as team leader at times
