Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 10 years of enterprise software development experience. Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms, including Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, Functions, Storage, Azure SQL, and AWS Lambda, CloudWatch, S3, SNS/SQS, DynamoDB, RDS is essential. Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, and CloudFormation is required, as is a strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and process modeling. Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tools, cloud-native patterns, modern software engineering frameworks, agile development practices, excellent communication, and cross-team collaboration skills are also necessary. Demonstrated leadership in technical decision-making and mentoring teams is a must.

Responsibilities

The Principal Engineer, R&D Software Engineering will design, develop, test, debug, and implement cloud-native software programs using Azure and AWS services, architecting robust, secure, and scalable solutions. They will lead Infrastructure as Code implementation, define and enforce engineering standards for coding, architecture, performance, and cloud security. This role involves providing technical leadership through mentorship, hands-on coding, code reviews, and technical strategy, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data compliance, operational excellence, and innovation. Responsibilities also include supporting DevOps practices like CI/CD pipelines, cloud monitoring, and security automation, prototyping new ideas for product innovation, and sharing cloud architectural best practices.
