Requirements

Fully conversant with all aspects of the design and functionality of Surface Wellhead equipment: Conventional, Unitized and Splitter variations and all of their ancillary components
Clear understanding of client’s technical specifications/drawings and ability to design wellhead system to conform to industry and customer requirements
Ability to generate creative solutions; translate concepts and information into images; use feedback to modify designs; apply design principles; demonstrate attention to detail
Competence to set requirements and review results of Finite Element Analysis on new or existing designs
Ability to perform all engineering design functions including engineering design and calculations, drawings creation, organization of design reviews, and basic project management
Ability to support and solve field issues through identification of root causes and provide suitable solutions
Ability to create and present a planned schedule of a task, keep relevant parties informed of progress and outcomes, and resolve issues
Knowledge and compliance with Quality Policy, Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures, Workplace Instructions, safety rules, and company policies
Willingness to travel as required for product sales, field runs, and troubleshooting
Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external personnel providing clear and concise reports

Responsibilities

Perform all engineering design functions in Product Engineering projects to meet industry standards and customer requirements
Ensure clear understanding of the client’s technical specifications/drawings and design wellhead system to conform to industry and customer requirements
Generate creative solutions; translate concepts and information into images; use feedback to modify designs; apply design principles; demonstrate attention to detail
Identify cost saving opportunities
Assist with the creation of Sales and Marketing information, providing technical data where required
Identify technical gaps and communicate timely with Research and Development team to mitigate gaps
Liaise with other departments including engineering, planning, sales, contract administration, legal, workshop and procurement departments
Conduct site visits at customers for technical support
Provide technical leadership for project/product assigned
Create and present a planned schedule of a task; keep all relevant and appropriate parties informed of progress and outcomes; resolve issues as they become apparent
Travel as required to support product sales, field runs and troubleshooting exercises
Communicate with all levels of internal and external personnel as needed providing clear and concise reports
Comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions
Understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies
Perform work assignments to the highest quality level
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints
