Responsibilities

  • Represent R&D as electrical hardware technical core team lead, guiding product development of complex medical systems
  • Guide improvements of hardware architecture to meet customer needs while interfacing new electrical technologies and improvements
  • Perform the layout, construction, and evaluation of a variety of prototype Printed Circuit Boards, fixtures, and tools
  • Apply advanced engineering and scientific principles to the evaluation and solution of technical problems
  • Initiate the planning, organizing, performing, coordinating, and/or directing of engineering work, and conduct performance evaluations or technical studies
  • Remain abreast of and consult on technical advancements
  • Lay out and construct a variety of prototype tools and fixtures required for development purposes
  • Perform troubleshooting and fault isolation activities on a variety of breadboards and hybrids
  • Perform measurements specified in design verification plans, document and tabulate results, and provide engineering test reports
  • Initiate planning, organizing, performing, coordinating, documentation, and/or directing of design testing internally and with external contract houses as necessary
  • Determine the layout, construction, and evaluation of a variety of prototype printed circuit assemblies, fixtures, and tools
  • Perform technical studies in support of project goals
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness and appropriateness of processes
