Responsibilities

Champion effective use of AI in the software development lifecycle: define, document, and evangelize best practices; evaluate new AI opportunities
Collaborate with security, legal, and compliance to ensure AI tools are safe and deployed responsibly
Provide hands-on training, workshops, on-demand content, curate external programs, and pair with developers on AI skills
Implement and manage technical onboarding program for developers
Partner with technical program management and product operations to refine software development lifecycle
Ensure developer toolchains (IDEs, review, testing tools) are reliable, efficient, and supported
Collaborate with engineering leadership to define and measure productivity/satisfaction metrics and identify bottlenecks
Own or administer quality tools (linters, static analysis, test coverage reporting)
Document code standards and integrate into tools (e.g., for AI agents/review bots)
Partner with teams to strengthen code review, testing strategies, and continuous integration
Balance developer autonomy with quality tooling to enable value delivery
Advocate for developer needs organization-wide
Foster culture of experimentation, learning, and collaboration
Share knowledge via documentation, workshops, and mentoring
