Responsibilities

  • Champion the effective use of AI in the software development lifecycle
  • Define, document, and evangelize best practices for AI-powered tools
  • Continuously evaluate and identify new AI opportunities
  • Work with security, legal, and compliance stakeholders to ensure safe and responsible tool deployment
  • Provide hands-on training, workshops, and content for learning systems
  • Curate or recommend external training programs and pair with developers to teach AI skills
  • Implement and manage a technical onboarding program for developers
  • Partner with technical program management and product operations to improve the software development lifecycle
  • Ensure developer toolchains (IDEs, review, testing tools) are reliable, efficient, and supported
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to define and measure productivity and satisfaction metrics
  • Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement
  • Own or administer quality management tools (linters, static analysis, test coverage)
  • Document code standards and integrate into tools (e.g., for AI agents and review bots)
