Requirements
- Expert level security architecture knowledge and experience in networking technologies, firewall solutions, IDS/IPS, Linux/Unix command line tools, VMware, and Algosec or other policy management/orchestration tools
- Deep understanding of firewall configurations, network segmentation, and secure routing protocols
- Advanced knowledge of Azure cloud security architecture, policy enforcement, and workload protection
- Experience implementing cloud-native security controls and automation frameworks
- Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and vulnerability oversight
- In-depth familiarity with PCI-DSS, NIST, ISO 27001, and other regulatory frameworks
- Proven experience supporting internal and external audits, including evidence gathering and remediation planning
- Mentoring and developing talent across technical and non-technical roles
- Experience overseeing the development and deployment of custom security tools and automation pipelines
- Familiarity with scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Go, Ansible)
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree (MS/MA) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Preferred: 8+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity architecture and engineering
- Preferred: Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM
- Key competencies: Strategic thinker with proactive mindset for identifying risks and implementing scalable solutions; strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to translate complex security concepts into actionable business recommendations; comfortable in fast-paced, agile environments; capable of working independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision; adept at research and acquiring new skills
Responsibilities
- Security Architecture, Design and Planning for incoming projects and End of Life (EOL)
- Firewall Policy Automation and Orchestration (Algosec)
- Security Feature and OS review/certification
- Enterprise Security Architecture Tools Development
- Security Vulnerability and Bug Consulting
- Enterprise Management Systems (EMS) Design, Planning and Architecture
- Intrusion Detection/Prevention System
- Ideation, testing, proof of concept, and support for various firewall/security projects
- Analyze hardware/software solutions and configuration options, recommend modifications to improve threat posture/risk
- Lead role in transforming legacy “Conexus” network into modernized segmented network, providing roadmaps, direction, guidance, and consultation to engineering and operations teams
- Work with partner organizations (Labs, ITO Network, GTO) to develop and realize strategies for target state architecture impacting all employees and business units
