Responsibilities

  • Directly manage internal and external communications strategies to promote, enhance and protect the organization’s reputation with relevant ANZ audiences
  • Drive comprehensive 360 communications strategies, activations and projects that position Medtronic as the leader in Healthcare Technology, a trusted local partner and employer of choice to external audiences
  • Manage ANZ public relations efforts and maintain local media / association relationships and support dissemination of information and releases
  • Together with Operating Unit and Marketing Leaders, prioritize and execute on therapy-specific awareness and product launch initiatives, and create communications campaigns that meet business objectives
  • Develop internal communication strategies to enhance employee engagement and brand ambassadorship amongst employees
  • Lead major internal employee events such as kick off meetings, holiday programs and patient story sessions
  • Advise and support senior leadership in communicating to external and internal audiences
  • Work with ANZ leadership and Global Communications teams to manage local issues and crises, media relations, and patient advocacy
  • Share, and scale best practices across EurAsia teams, with occasional global project work designed to streamline communications efforts and practices
