Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate processing of billing through all stages from invoice initiation through to invoice submission: uses available systems/tools/reports/trackers to check contract set ups, identify billing opportunities, track billing progress and clear unbilled costs; pro-actively follows up on approvals; escalates delays and risks; ensures trackers are updated with relevant comments; provides cover during team absence; ensures all internal approval processes relating to customer invoices, credit memos and cost transfers are followed
  • Fully understands, tracks, and meets customer requirements relating to invoice types, invoice timing, back up documentation, invoice submissions and other specific contractual requests; proposes efficient solutions in meeting requirements; initiates discussions when requirements cannot be met due to system limitations
  • Collaborates effectively with customers and other teams within the organization to ensure timely resolution of all billing related queries
  • Supports team with reporting, reconciliations, tracker preparations and data analysis
  • Focuses on opportunities to improve and streamline processes; provides constructive feedback on improvement opportunities; highlights where further training and guidance is required across the organization; assists in resolution of system and report errors
  • Assists in training new team members; supports/mentors others and shares knowledge; actively participates in team meetings and trainings
  • Assists in recruitment efforts; co-ordinates new team member onboarding and training; provides continued support
  • Focuses on development, engagement, and retention of team: support and coaching during regular one to ones; career development discussions; goal setting and performance reviews; appropriate allocation of customers and tasks across team; soft skills training; recognition of achievements; team re-structures; promotion of teamwork through regular trainings, meetings, and social events
  • Administers and executes policies, processes, and procedures that affect subordinate employees and the workflow of the team
