Requirements

Candidates must possess at least 8 years of backend development experience, with a minimum of 2 years focused on AI/ML solutions or LLMs. Experience developing and deploying MCP Servers, working with the Model Context Protocol ecosystem, and hands-on implementation of agentic workflows using LLMs are essential. Proficiency in vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, MLOps, CI/CD for AI pipelines, and AI observability tools is required. Strong experience in Node.js, Python, C#, or TypeScript, along with designing and building APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC, event-driven architectures) and cloud architecture on AWS, GCP, or Azure, is necessary.

Responsibilities

The Principal AI Engineer will design and lead backend architecture for AI/ML-powered features across various platforms, owning the technical strategy for embedding LLMs and personalized content delivery. They will architect and implement agentic workflows for intelligent payment experiences, partner with product and design teams, and build tools for AI-enhanced feature development. Responsibilities also include influencing engineering standards, promoting excellence in observability, performance, and security, and mentoring engineers across teams.
