Requirements

  • University Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Clinical or Biomedical engineering
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the medical device industry in clinical research departments as a clinical specialist, field clinical engineer or sales representative roles in related fields
  • Fluent in English and German (both written and spoken)
  • Experience in a Cath lab, biomedical engineering, hospital/clinic or medical sales
  • Experience in Clinical studies and/or trial site management/protocols according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
  • Experience collaborating with cross functional clinical partners/customers, physicians and/or medical sales colleagues in the healthcare industry
  • Full Measles immunization (facility-based requirement)

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and act as a bridge between engineering and the medical community, especially during clinical trials involving complex products
  • Manage all aspects of pre-market and post-market clinical research studies, including investigator identification, site nomination, protocol & study training, protocol compliance, enrolment encouragement, and data quality assurance
  • Be present during initial implants and relevant clinical procedures to understand product interactions with the human body and facilitate data collection and patient testing
  • Assist in evaluating new product concepts and modifying existing devices, providing feedback from clinical sites to enhance product performance
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clinical sites to understand physician interests and capabilities, drive clinical activity while serving as a local technical and clinical resource for Medtronic and customers
  • Educate, train and/or mentor internal clinical research talents, customers, clinical staff and sales partners on technology
  • Lead major programs, function in a project leadership role, communicate effectively with various levels of internal and external customers, and represent the organization as a primary contact in their given territory for clinical study enrolments and follow-ups
