Requirements

University Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Clinical or Biomedical engineering
Minimum 6 years of experience in the medical device industry in clinical research departments as a clinical specialist, field clinical engineer or sales representative roles in related fields
Fluent in English and German (both written and spoken)
Experience in a Cath lab, biomedical engineering, hospital/clinic or medical sales
Experience in Clinical studies and/or trial site management/protocols according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
Experience collaborating with cross functional clinical partners/customers, physicians and/or medical sales colleagues in the healthcare industry
Full Measles immunization (facility-based requirement)

Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance and act as a bridge between engineering and the medical community, especially during clinical trials involving complex products
Manage all aspects of pre-market and post-market clinical research studies, including investigator identification, site nomination, protocol & study training, protocol compliance, enrolment encouragement, and data quality assurance
Be present during initial implants and relevant clinical procedures to understand product interactions with the human body and facilitate data collection and patient testing
Assist in evaluating new product concepts and modifying existing devices, providing feedback from clinical sites to enhance product performance
Develop and maintain relationships with clinical sites to understand physician interests and capabilities, drive clinical activity while serving as a local technical and clinical resource for Medtronic and customers
Educate, train and/or mentor internal clinical research talents, customers, clinical staff and sales partners on technology
Lead major programs, function in a project leadership role, communicate effectively with various levels of internal and external customers, and represent the organization as a primary contact in their given territory for clinical study enrolments and follow-ups
