Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology

Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license to operate motor vehicles
Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain Eversource qualification to operate motor vehicles of any class and type required by the company based on departmental needs

Responsibilities
Perform routine calibration and testing of substation equipment, network equipment, distribution equipment, and communication systems utilized on the Eversource system
Perform minor troubleshooting and repairs
Direct, perform, and take responsibility for routine calibration and testing assignments requiring thorough knowledge of rules, regulations, procedures, and company engineering practices
Demonstrate proficiency in diverse phases of the company’s engineering or technical activities related to design, construction, operations, utilization, inspection, testing, and maintenance of equipment, apparatus, structures, and safety procedures
Direct and instruct other Power Systems Technicians assisting in the performance of an assignment and others as directed
Coordinate work activities with others, such as employees of other departments, representatives of consulting firms, municipalities, manufacturers, customers, and contractors
Ensure safe, efficient, and productive performance of the work
Ensure all proper tools, equipment, and materials are available for job assignments and are utilized properly, including material returns to inventory
Respond to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs, including Emergency Restoration assignments outside normal responsibilities, work hours, and location
