Responsibilities

  • Utilize innovative machine learning (ML) and rare event modeling techniques to investigate risk factors and protective factors associated with serious or severe drug adverse events
  • Initially focus on neuroscience, with subsequent extension of methodology to other critical events and therapeutic areas
  • Enhance understanding of drivers behind safety concerns and strengthen ability to evaluate benefit-risk profiles of investigational and marketed therapies
  • Support activities of the Global Patient Safety (GPS) Medical organization, including characterizing and communicating safety profiles, assessing benefit-risk, and planning/measuring risk minimization measures
  • Generate scientific data revealing new clinical insights into risk factors driving adverse events of special interest for key Lilly products
  • Adapt methodology to other compounds both in development and on the market
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Medical, Statistics, Toxicology, and Advanced Intelligence
