Requirements

5-12 years' relevant work experience in portfolio decision-making or providing investment guidance across multiple asset classes and styles
CFA Charter holder
MBA or master’s degree preferred
FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses required within four months of joining
Proven investment acumen with ability to respectfully challenge others' investment views
Strong understanding of the mutual fund and ETF landscape
Dynamic problem solver capable of independently completing complex portfolio analyses
Outstanding aptitude for tackling hard portfolio challenges with grace and persuasiveness
Strong sales communication and writing skills, including translating complex quantitative investment analysis into actionable solutions
Developer of positive relationships with internal and external partners
Background as analysts at client firms and/or asset management firms preferred
Highly driven, easy to work with, and passionate about economics, capital markets, and investment decision-making

Responsibilities

Deliver value to advisors and institutional clients on asset allocation, manager selection, and portfolio construction
Synthesize Fidelity’s intellectual capital and incorporate thought leadership into portfolio construction
Gain deep understanding of Fidelity’s business cycle framework and asset allocation views from Asset Allocation Research Team (AART)
Absorb manager research and thought leadership from Fidelity Institutional Wealth Adviser (FIWA) to maintain open architecture and champion advisor education on portfolio construction with alternatives
Distill investment and market insights and grasp Fidelity’s investment approach through quarterly meetings with top portfolio managers
Advance market commentary, asset class, sector strategy, and macro views from Capital Market Strategy Group (CMSG)
Communicate key findings and actionable guidance clearly, concisely, and inspiringly
Present at Portfolio Construction Institute events and other client speaking engagements
Work alongside business partners in investment product & distribution, macro strategy, investment sales, custody & clearing relationship management
