Candidates must possess a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent and have at least two years of post-doctoral experience in clinical practice, academia, research, or industry. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office are required, along with current knowledge in veterinary medicine and pork production management. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are also necessary.
The Pork Technical Services Veterinarian will provide technical expertise and scientific support to strategic pork producer accounts, veterinary accounts, and prospects. This role involves calling on producers, veterinarians, dealers, consultants, and distributor representatives to offer scientific support and training. Responsibilities include developing intimate knowledge of customer business models, advising on animal health and production issues, building relationships with industry leaders, collaborating with sales teams on account plans and strategies, and documenting activities accurately. The veterinarian will also contribute to training program content and participate in special projects and tactical implementations.
