Requirements

Candidates should have 1-2 years of relevant work experience with a demonstrated interest in public policy research and a strong academic record, preferably with a GPA of 3.7 or higher. Strong quantitative skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and data analysis experience in R are required. Experience with REMI, IMPLAN, or RIMS II is a plus. Superior verbal and interpersonal communication, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively both independently and across teams are essential. Candidates must also demonstrate personal initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, adaptability, and strong operational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to work in the New York City office 4-5 days per week are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Policy Analyst will research health policy issues related to healthcare innovation, reform, equity, and rare diseases, including market access, pricing, contracting, and health economics outcomes research. Responsibilities include developing talking points, presentations, issue briefs, and original research to support the foundation's advocacy and education platforms. The role involves monitoring, identifying, researching, and analyzing relevant policies, producing content such as reports and blogs, and supporting all stages of the policy process from identification to evaluation. Additionally, the Policy Analyst will support the knowledge management of policy and program data and information.
