Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or higher
  • Specialized training in PLCs or equivalent work experience
  • Two or more years hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial setting
  • Understanding of industrial control systems and operational technology
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley and Ignition systems preferred
  • Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, HMI, sensors, and network devices
  • Ability to read and understand repair manuals, wiring diagrams, machine diagrams, and other resource materials to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
  • Ability to use and understand various types of precision measuring instruments and interpret their data
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues with control systems and related equipment
  • Conduct system tests and inspections to identify potential problems and implement solutions
  • Work with electricians in troubleshooting electrical or electronic issues
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs
  • Assist in preparing detailed technical reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions
  • Update system documentation and manuals as necessary
  • Develop electrical PM procedures and evaluate and update all as needed
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in the installation and configuration of Operational Technology hardware and software, including PLCs, SCADA systems, HMI, sensors, and network devices
  • Follow detailed technical instructions and blueprints to ensure accurate setup and integration of equipment
  • Install, program, maintain, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation to ensure automated machinery and control systems operate efficiently and safely
