Requirements

Candidates should possess strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling, proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform, and programming or scripting experience with languages such as Python and Go. Experience with Linux-based environments, Bash, configuration management tools, and containerization with Docker is essential, along with knowledge of orchestration like Kubernetes. Awareness of US Government security requirements and guidelines, experience applying DevSecOps principles, and the ability to build and manage cloud and hybrid infrastructure, particularly AWS, are also required. A demonstrated ability to contribute to a strong developer experience and an understanding of platform-as-product principles are necessary.

Responsibilities

The Platforms Engineer will build, evolve, and support CI/CD systems and workflows, define and manage infrastructure using Terraform across various environments, and improve the observability stack. They will build tooling and automation to reduce cognitive overhead for engineering teams, support the rollout of security and compliance practices via automated guardrails, and contribute to self-service internal platform capabilities. Responsibilities include tracking and improving DORA metrics, writing automation and platform tooling in Go, Python, or TypeScript, and working closely with the Platforms team to support specific systems and US-based developers. High-level Linux skills are expected.
