Candidates should possess 3+ years of professional programming experience, with proficiency in Golang, Python, or NodeJS. They require professional experience developing and deploying applications in a public cloud environment such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with experience utilizing CI/CD pipelines. Experience working with service mesh technologies like Istio, highly available distributed systems, and tools for monitoring platform stability is also necessary. Furthermore, experience with infrastructure as code solutions like Terraform and a strong understanding of networking protocols are preferred qualifications.
As a Platform Software Engineer, the individual will be responsible for defining and implementing routing, load balancing, and communication strategies within a distributed microservice-based containerized environment. They will implement best practices, including canary rollouts and fine-grained security control, to deliver distributed applications at scale. The role involves designing highly available systems, building tools, and scaling the platform, as well as modernizing and evolving key components. They will work closely with other Cloud Engineering teams and internal engineering teams to build the foundation for JumpCloud and its internal engineering teams.
