Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum 1 year experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid employment authorization in the U.S. without need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
Ability to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and all other written communication
Ability to work with others in a team environment to meet facility goals
Ability to operate forklift and maintain certification
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) or equivalent software
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to work all shifts
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

Filling specialty products into compressed and liquefied gas cylinders in compliance with state, federal, and local regulations
Meeting all Airgas safety standards while filling, handling, storing, loading, and unloading cylinders
Remaining productive during work shift and supporting Airgas product quality standards
Displaying advanced knowledge of pure gas filling process, product purification techniques, and troubleshooting production issues
Regularly inspecting cylinder fill equipment and performing minor maintenance
Performing all job assignments in a safe manner according to Airgas SOPs
Performing all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections on cylinders and/or trailers
Scraping, labeling, and painting of cylinders
Regularly moving cylinders using a cylinder cart and/or forklift
Reviewing SDS's per products introduced into the facility in accordance with Airgas Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Management System requirements
Completing daily fill sheets and cylinder filling records accurately, legibly, and timely
Operating vacuum pumps, cryogenic pumps, booster pumps, and compressors
Offloading cryogenic materials, cascade, and cold cylinder/cold coil transfer filling
Understanding DOT Special Permits and applicability to the fill process
Recognizing international cylinders and special handling requirements
Keeping a clean, safe, and orderly work area
Performing other duties or projects as assigned
