Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) - Licensed and qualified to practice medicine in the state of service, board certified or board eligible upon hire
- Or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) - Licensed and qualified to practice medicine in the state of service, board certified or board eligible upon hire
- Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license (state and federal) based on state of practice upon hire
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
- Ability to work primarily days with night, weekend, and holiday on-call involvement

- Maintain confidentiality and comply with safety principles, laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., CMS, The Joint Commission, DHHS, OSHA)
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients according to medical staff approved protocol and acceptable standards of practice
- Provide medical services and health education to patients and family members, applying methods to increase motivation for self-health care
- Perform necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Interpret diagnostic information and formulate appropriate plans of care
- Provide quality care, demonstrating appropriate health, safety, and aseptic practices
- Recognize and react to environmental safety factors related to patient care and provide patient instruction on care environment and safety standards
- Understand, apply, and support practice policies, procedures, goals, and standards
- Meet regularly with the care team for consultation, collaboration, and to promote quality care; assure appropriate patient referrals
- Maintain patient records and accurate information
