Requirements

Candidates should possess an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree, along with preferred physician recruitment experience in a Healthcare/Insurance setting or equivalent transferable skills, and business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting. Strong knowledge of State and Federal compliance guidelines, medical terminology, negotiation skills, communication skills, critical thinking, organizational skills, and efficient time management are required, alongside computer literacy and typing skills.

Responsibilities

The Physician Coordinator will coordinate the credentialing and contracting process, ensuring new contracts are completed quickly and fee agreements are accurate, while maintaining and updating physician profiles including instructions, fees, group assignments, and deactivation/reactivation status. They will also onboard new physicians based on client needs, negotiate costs and contract terms within guidelines, obtain and process necessary paperwork such as agreement applications, CVs, W9s, and NPDBs, work with the Director of Operations to set fees, provide dictation and AccessDS instructions, coordinate DocuSign documents, assist physician reviewers with inquiries, and fulfill other duties and special projects as assigned.
