Requirements

Candidates should possess strong organizational, prioritization, communication, and mathematical skills, along with knowledge of medication brand and generic names, medical terminology, and calculations. A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, and 6 months of pharmacy experience is preferred. The position requires a TN Pharmacy Technician license and Pharmacy Technician certification (CPHT or EXCPT) is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with local, state, federal, and Company regulations. They will perform prepacking of stock, including preparation of equipment and pre-pack labels, packaging and labeling of product for bar-code scanning, and quality control procedures. The role involves stock control functions such as stock level audits, expiry date checking, stock file maintenance, and maintenance of internal stock movement. Additionally, the Pharmacy Technician will maintain knowledge of loss prevention techniques, clean the work area, and generally maintain equipment and materials, while also respecting the confidentiality of patient information.
