Requirements

  • Complete a rigorous company training program
  • Satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to the State’s Board of Pharmacy guidelines
  • Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at each workstation
  • Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
  • Comply with CVS policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and compliance with controlled substance dispensing and record-keeping
  • Remain flexible for both scheduling and business needs, including voluntarily traveling to stores in the market as needed
  • Embrace a growth mindset, be receptive to feedback, and actively seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within the store
  • Act as the first point of contact to assist patients and customers, delivering an exceptional experience
  • Assist in ensuring pharmacy operations run smoothly, prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
  • Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (e.g., production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care: create heartfelt and personalized moments at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone; offer immunizations and services at the register and over the phone; solve or escalate patient problems
  • Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law and directed by pharmacy leadership (e.g., putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, waiting bin inventories)
  • Contribute to a high-performing team, a safe and inclusive culture, and an engaging team dynamic through effective communication and genuine care in all interactions
