Ability to oversee staff pharmacists, manage performance through observation, feedback, and reviews
Capability to deliver immunizations and train pharmacy technicians to immunize
Partnership skills with Store Manager for talent pipeline and cross-training

Responsibilities

Live the purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Oversee the pharmacy team during bench shifts, strengthening performance through coaching and follow-up
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing adherence to workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, collaborating with healthcare teams, and resolving insurance/medication issues; coach team accordingly
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; identify, engage, and support Pharmacy Technicians to immunize
Manage pharmacy inventory by following and coaching best practices, focusing on cold chain protection
Conduct onboarding and training for new Technicians and Pharmacists on CVS workflow, ensuring timely completion of training/licensure
Ensure full compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalate issues to Rx DL as needed
Partner with Store Manager to maintain a talent pipeline of cross-trained colleagues and ensure their training completion
Oversee Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (where applicable), manage performance via observation, feedback, validation, annual reviews, and gap closure
