Requirements

Candidates should have recently graduated from a pharmacy school with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist. They should possess a strong understanding of pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology, and pharmacy practice, along with the ability to apply didactic learning to real-world scenarios.

Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Intern, the individual will assist the pharmacy team in ensuring the prompt, safe, and accurate filling of prescriptions, while also providing caring service to patients. They will learn to operate as part of the pharmacy team by consistently applying Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices, contributing to positive patient experiences, and demonstrating empathy and genuine care. Additionally, they will participate in training to deepen their understanding of patient safety, error prevention, quality assurance, drug utilization review (DUR), and pharmacy professional standards, and take on greater accountability for supporting pharmacy management and operations as they gain experience and readiness.
