Requirements

  • Recent pharmacy school graduate (within 120 days of graduation)
  • Ability to apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world pharmacy practice
  • Readiness to complete a comprehensive training roadmap under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader
  • Knowledge development in patient safety, error prevention, quality assurance, drug utilization review (DUR), pharmacy professional standards (e.g., corresponding responsibility, red flag detection)
  • Compliance with state regulations for tasks like taking telephonic prescriptions or calling prescribers
  • Part-time availability for shifts in retail pharmacy locations

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacy team in ensuring smooth operations, prompt, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment, and exceeding patient expectations
  • Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices at each workstation (e.g., production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off)
  • Demonstrate empathy, genuine care, and compassionate service in all customer and colleague interactions, including creating personalized moments, offering immunizations/services, and solving/escalating patient issues
  • Offer counseling, field medical questions, and solicit patient medical history under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
  • Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and call prescribers to clarify prescriptions or facilitate changes, where allowed by state regulation
  • Provide in-the-moment coaching, training, mentoring to pharmacy team members, and share best practices
  • Complete basic inventory activities (e.g., putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stock, waiting bin inventories), as permitted by law and directed by leadership
  • Contribute to a high-performing team, safe and inclusive culture, and continuous improvement in store, district, and regional operations
