Requirements

3rd year Pharmacy Intern (enrolled in pharmacy school, applying didactic learning to real-world practice)
Ability to work under the direction of a preceptor
Compliance with state regulations (e.g., for taking telephonic prescriptions, calling prescribers)

Responsibilities

Complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences (KLEs), activities, and time with district leaders
Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at each workstation to support Pharmacists and Technicians in managing patient health
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, creating personalized moments, offering immunizations/services, and solving/escalating patient problems
Offer counseling, field medical questions, and solicit patient medical history under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and call prescribers to clarify prescriptions or facilitate changes, where allowed by state regulation
Provide in-the-moment coaching, training, mentoring to pharmacy team members, and share best practices
Complete basic inventory activities (e.g., putting away deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stock, waiting bin inventories), as permitted by law and directed by leadership
Demonstrate empathy, genuine care, and effective communication in all customer/colleague interactions
Contribute to a safe, inclusive culture where all feel valued and empowered
