Requirements

3rd year Pharmacy Intern (enrolled in pharmacy school, applying didactic learning to real-world practice)
Ability to work under the direction of a preceptor
Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences (KLEs), activities, and time with district leaders
Adherence to all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and state regulations
Capability to demonstrate empathy, genuine care, and effective communication in patient and colleague interactions
Permitted by law to perform basic inventory activities

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment, and caring service exceeding patient expectations
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off)
Contribute to positive patient experiences by creating personalized moments, offering immunizations/services, and solving/escalating patient problems with compassion
Offer counseling, field medical questions, and solicit patient medical history under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and call to clarify or facilitate changes, where allowed by state regulation
Maintain self-awareness and provide in-the-moment coaching, training, mentoring to team members, sharing best practices
Complete basic inventory activities (e.g., putting away deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stock, waiting bin inventories) as directed
Live company purpose by following SOPs to help manage and improve patient health
Contribute to a safe, inclusive culture where all feel valued and empowered
