3rd year Pharmacy Intern (enrolled in pharmacy school)
Ability to apply didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice
Compliance with state regulations for tasks like taking telephonic prescriptions or calling prescribers
Work under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist for counseling, fielding medical questions, and soliciting patient medical history

Responsibilities

Complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences (KLEs), activities, and time with district leaders
Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at each workstation to support Pharmacists and Technicians in managing and improving patient health
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, creating personalized moments at pick-up, drive-thru, phone, register; offer immunizations and services; solve or escalate patient problems
Offer to counsel, field medical questions, and solicit patient medical history information under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and call prescribers to clarify prescriptions or facilitate medication changes, where allowed by state regulation
Maintain high self-awareness and provide in-the-moment coaching, training, mentoring to pharmacy team members while sharing best practices
Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law and directed by pharmacy leadership (e.g., putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, waiting bin inventories)
Assist pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt/safe/accurate prescription filling, and caring service exceeding patient expectations
Demonstrate empathy, genuine care, and contribute to a safe, inclusive culture in all customer and colleague interactions
