Pharmacist license - Board of Pharmacy active in state of practice (within 30 days)
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
Ability to work specified hours (PRN, as needed shifts)

Responsibilities

Prepare and dispense medications, performing and evaluating related pharmacy services
Collect data, report adverse drug reactions, conduct drug utilization evaluations, quality assurance audits, and manage inventory for safe medication use
Interpret, process, and monitor medication orders for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and appropriateness
Monitor patient medication therapy, analyzing medication regimens, medical problems, laboratory data, and special procedures, while collaborating with clinicians
Provide timely medication information to providers and other healthcare professionals
Counsel patients on proper medication usage, desired effects, and potential adverse effects
Mentor students, interns, technicians, and others in career plans and professional development
Coordinate and oversee workflow with team members including pharmacists, residents, technicians, and students
Maintain knowledge of professional standards, regulatory policies, federal/state laws, and organizational procedures for compliance
Recognize and communicate issues/occurrences through established lines of authority and assist in resolving variances
