People Operations Lead (12-Month Contract)

The People Operations Lead is a 12-month full-time contract role that plays a pivotal role in advancing strategic initiatives and operational excellence across the People and Culture team. This role focuses on leading and contributing to cross-functional projects that enhance the employee lifecycle through process design, system optimization, and high-quality asset delivery. The ideal candidate is a strong project manager, communicator, and facilitator who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This individual will serve as a connector between the People team and partners such as Finance, IT, and Legal, while playing a key role in enabling scalable, efficient, and people-centric solutions.

What You'll Get the Opportunity to Do:

Strategic Initiatives Management

  • Lead the planning, execution and sustainment of strategic transformation projects by ensuring global cross-functional teams communicate smoothly and deliver on expected milestones/results.
  • Lead or support change management and communication efforts to ensure smooth implementation of People programs, systems, and services with clear outcomes and positive adoption.
  • Design and facilitate workshops, retrospectives, and team rituals to drive alignment, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the design and execution of consolidated global People metrics and insights to help leadership make informed and data driven decisions.

Processes, Systems and Continuous Improvement

  • Lead the design and refinement of processes across the employee lifecycle to enhance operational efficiency and elevate the employee experience.
  • Identify opportunities to automate workflows, improve system integrations, and streamline processes across HRIS platforms and People systems.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions and internal assets that meet stakeholder needs and are rooted in best practices.
  • Support functional activities linked to our people technology roadmap (Data architecture mapping and migration, testing, cutover, etc.)
  • Develop supporting tools and documentation to drive consistent adoption and process excellence across the People team.

Knowledge Management & Lifecycle Management

  • Lead the development of a global knowledge management strategy that enables scalable access to key People policies, programs, and processes.
  • Create and maintain living documentation, FAQs, decision trees, and resource libraries that support both the People team and Flipp employees.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to ensure timely content updates, consistent messaging, and improved self-serve capability.
  • Ensure operational continuity and documentation throughout the employee lifecycle by managing ownership, versioning, and knowledge handoffs.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • 5+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Project Management, HR Consulting, or similar roles.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-functional projects with measurable impact.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., HiBob, Dayforce, Workday) and related technologies.
  • Strong experience in process design, systems thinking.
