Position Overview

Khan Academy is seeking a highly organized and client-oriented People Operations Coordinator to support the HR operational needs of our employees and internal People Operations teams, including Total Rewards, HR Operations, and Talent Acquisition. The ideal candidate is a great communicator, an independent problem solver, and passionate about creating efficient operations that support an excellent employee and candidate experience. You should recognize when you need help and be proactive in seeking guidance. Reliability, responsiveness, a service-oriented approach, and the ability to deliver as promised are essential.

Responsibilities

• Own on-boarding and off-boarding systems, processes, and communications for employees, contractors, and contingent workers.
• Ensure employee questions are answered with clarity, empathy, and urgency to provide an excellent employee experience.
• Support the Talent Acquisition team with interview scheduling and candidate communications.
• Manage the HRIS system, including data entry, audits for accuracy, and reporting and compliance audit requests.
• Maintain internal and employee-facing process documents and pages in our knowledge management system to ensure information is up-to-date and readily available.
• Support efforts to optimize and streamline HR processes, systems, and communications to create a frictionless experience for team members.
• Provide coordination and administrative support for HR initiatives and projects.
• Assist with other ad-hoc People Operations projects and programs as necessary.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience; experience in HR or Talent Acquisition is a plus.
• Working knowledge of HRIS systems and workflows (e.g., ADP, Ceridian).
• Working knowledge of ATS systems (Greenhouse preferred).
• Working knowledge of Google Suite and/or MS Office, particularly Google Sheets/Excel, including writing basic formulas, pivot tables, and data scrubbing techniques.
• Air-tight organizational systems and routines to prioritize and manage a high volume of processes, requests, and urgent tasks, ensuring completion.
• A client-service mindset and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a dynamic organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high expectations.
• Self-starter with the ability to work through ambiguity and problem-solve.
