Payroll Specialist Lead

Position Overview

Remote is seeking a Payroll Specialist Lead to join our Global Payroll Operations Team. This role is an exciting opportunity to make a personal difference in the global employment space by managing and processing full end-to-end payroll, ensuring statutory filing requirements, exceptions, approvals, payments, and compliance. You will act as a subject matter expert, manage stakeholder relationships, ensure data integrity, and contribute to process improvements.

What You Bring

  • Experience: Payroll management or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of payroll best practices.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in software tools such as SAP, Excel, and Google Sheets.
  • Analytical Skills: An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.
  • Efficiency: A productivity-oriented mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and work optimization.
  • Asynchronous Work: Understanding and preference for working largely asynchronously.
  • Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Remote Work Experience: Not required, but considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for the country.
  • Manage existing relationships with key stakeholders in Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineering.
  • Process full end-to-end payroll in-house, including statutory filing requirements, exceptions, approvals, payments, and compliance.
  • Ensure full data integrity and quality.
  • Perform accounting and reconciliations.
  • Focus on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Implement and improve payroll processes.
  • Mentor and support other payroll specialists.
  • Provide backup support to regional managers during absences.

Our salary bands are wide due to our international operations and globally distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to account for geographic pay differentials, ensuring competitiveness across various markets while hiring globally.

  • Base Salary Range: $83,150 USD to $93,550 USD (full-time position)

The actual base pay will depend on factors such as location, transferable skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and job titles may span multiple career levels. The base salary range is subject to change.
