Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field, along with at least 2 years of payroll and HR experience in Brazil. A strong understanding of Brazilian payroll and HR regulations, proficiency in English, and intermediate knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets are essential. Experience with technology, external payroll management, and local payroll software solutions is also required.
The Payroll Associate will be responsible for the accurate and timely execution of payroll in Brazil, including preparing and reconciling internal payroll reports to ensure compliance with local tax authorities. This role involves owning critical local payroll and HR processes, such as setting up involuntary deductions and supporting employee onboarding and offboarding. Additionally, the associate will manage payroll expense collections, reconcile them against expenses, assess and improve processes for rapid growth, stay updated on regulatory changes, and answer payroll and HR-related questions from employees and clients.
