Responsibilities

Initiate and process ACH transactions, including payroll direct deposits, vendor payments, bill payments, garnishments, and other items in accordance with established procedures and deadlines
Stay up to date with ACH rules and regulations, ensuring that all ACH transactions comply with NACHA guidelines and other applicable regulations
Investigate and resolve ACH transaction exceptions, including returns, reversals, and corrections, while maintaining accurate records and documentation
Utilize payroll software to process and manage payroll transactions efficiently
Review ACH transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with ACH rules before they are submitted for processing
Investigate and resolve any payroll discrepancies, payment errors, or other issues promptly
Assist customers, both internal and external, with ACH-related inquiries, issues, and troubleshooting
Generate and review reports, reconciling transactions with bank statements and resolving discrepancies
Ensure the security and confidentiality of ACH transaction data, taking measures to safeguard sensitive financial information
Identify opportunities to automate payroll processes and improve efficiency
Provide training and support to colleagues and employees on ACH and payroll-related matters
Maintain documentation of processes, procedures, and standard operating instructions
Monitor for potential ACH fraud and take necessary precautions to mitigate risk. Collaborate with the security and fraud prevention teams as needed
Assist in internal and external audits by providing payroll records and documentation as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
