Requirements

Candidates must possess 7-10+ years of experience in financial operations, treasury operations, or crypto payment processing. A strong understanding of fiat and crypto flow of funds, including wire transfers, stablecoin mechanics, exchanges, and wallets, is essential. Proven ability to design systems from first principles and scale them with minimal existing infrastructure, along with experience with Banking and Exchange APIs, reconciliation tooling, and TMS, ERP, or Ledger Systems, is required. Demonstrated ownership of SOC1 controls, internal audit readiness, or other financial compliance frameworks is also necessary. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, operationally rigorous, able to work independently in a lean environment, and a self-starter with strong communication skills and a bias for execution.

Responsibilities

The Payment Operations Lead will own and execute the end-to-end settlement lifecycle, including ACH/wire processing, crypto swaps, reconciliation, exception handling, and transaction validation. They will design scalable reconciliation processes across fiat/stablecoin flows, support the design and implementation of Bastion’s SOC1 control framework, and build stablecoin operational readiness across mint/redeem workflows, internal controls, and fiat on/off ramp processes. Responsibilities also include monitoring bank and exchange partners for daily operations, creating customer-facing reporting and internal dashboards, serving as the point of contact for exception management, collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Compliance, and supporting the implementation of a Treasury Management System (TMS).
