Responsibilities
The Patient Care Technician will welcome patients, inquire about their wellbeing, and evaluate their vascular access for patency. They will initiate and monitor dialysis treatments, including blood flow and dialysate flow adjustments, and respond to intradialytic problems. Additionally, they will obtain vital signs, record treatment parameters, and provide patient education regarding dialysis adequacy measures and disease processes, while also ensuring a safe and clean working environment and contributing to quality enhancement programs.
