Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Math’s, Science or Commerce with 6 to 8 years of relevant industry experience in Service Parts, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, and Procurement
  • Prior experience with Caterpillar NPI Authorizations, Parts Inventory Management, and familiarity with parts distribution practices and inventory management systems is preferred
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with global process partners; excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated customer focus and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment; capable of leading cross-functional projects
  • Solid understanding of statistical and problem-solving tools; hands-on experience with Six Sigma methodologies and Lean principles
  • Willingness to work in US/UK shift timings to ensure adequate overlap with global stakeholders
  • Business Acumen: Good product knowledge, NPI processes, concepts and tools knowledge; ability to comment on the organization’s business model and Aftermarket goals, communicate key considerations for business decision making, and participate in business tasks
  • Inventory Management: Extensive experience in managing daily/weekly service loss analysis and sharing RCCA for top loss parts, ensuring inventory meets internal and external customer requirements

Responsibilities

  • Identify and manage all New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Market Introduction (NMI) programs for the assigned product group
  • Actively participate in collaboration meetings with product groups to define product support strategies and develop effective parts stocking plans
  • Oversee NPI parts inventory and ensure availability to end customers, supporting a seamless product launch and customer experience
  • Ensure Aftermarket NPI readiness at Gateway 6 (GW6)/first ship date for new programs, including 100% availability for critical parts, >97% availability for all serviceable parts, and >97% NPI parts availability within the sales region
  • Monitor and track upcoming NPI programs using the NPI systems
  • Maintain and update Model Distribution Plans to translate sales forecasts into part level details for effective stocking decisions
  • Lead Service Parts Blitz meetings in collaboration with Product Groups, Service Engineers, and other stakeholders to define serviceability strategies for new content in NPI programs
  • Support Parts Product Analysts (PPA) during new parts introduction by providing essential inputs such as stocking plans, initial order quantities, and product-specific parameters
  • Escalate issues related to missing data or delayed engineering releases to appropriate engineering teams
  • Manage inventory and maintain parts availability at >95% for NPI parts to ensure customer satisfaction
