Requirements

  • 1-2 years minimum maintenance experience, particularly in painting
  • State of Florida driver’s license with driving record acceptable to employer insurance carrier
  • Must successfully complete a Defensive Driving Class within the first 90 days of employment
  • Willingness to learn new skills under the direction of the facilities manager
  • Knowledge of areas associated with maintenance of facilities
  • Knowledge of safety regulations associated with general maintenance
  • Knowledge of the correct use of chemicals, equipment, and techniques, including limits, quantities, and purpose of products

Responsibilities

  • Paint hallways, interior office spaces, and remove wallpaper as needed
  • Pressure wash various locations around the property as necessary
  • Handle building maintenance and repair activities for all facilities, primarily in painting, plastering, pressure washing, and carpentry
  • Assist housekeeping staff in moving furniture and setting up meeting rooms
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment and furniture
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly inspections of facilities using required checklists
  • Handle facility after-hours call duty
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities Management
  • Maintain a proper work schedule and follow assigned work and lunch schedules
