Requirements

High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Certificate
Minimum 1 year of previous packaging line experience in a pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic environment (or equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience)
Good manual dexterity
Ability to work at line speed and with minimal supervision
Basic math skills
Knowledge of serialization functions/processes
Sound knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Sound understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Sound understanding of safety regulations
Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
Proficiency with the English Language
Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch for prolonged periods; lift/carry/move up to 40 pounds; arm/hand/finger dexterity; visual acuity; reach, talk, hear; tolerate dust, noise, lights, fumes/odors; use PPE (e.g., safety glasses, shoes, lab coat, gloves)
Ability to perform alternating or rotating shift work

Responsibilities

Perform work at various positions on the packaging line (capping, cartoning, packing shippers, palletizing) in accordance with established standards and GMP requirements to meet production targets
Inspect packaged products for presence and correctness of lot number, expiry date, and general packaging appearance and completeness
Ensure line cleanliness practices, procedures, SOPs, and packaging instructions are followed
Perform equipment set up and tear down duties
Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards
Follow all Environmental Health & Safety Policies and Procedures
Work collaboratively with team members, modeling positive team principles
Carry out all duties in strict compliance with Patheon quality systems, SOPs, and GMP
Maintain workspace in a clean and orderly fashion
Adhere to departmental systems (visual management, scheduling, etc.) for smooth workflow
Be client and patient conscious at all times
Understand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), strive to improve team performance, identify system improvements, and engage in problem solving
Model positive thinking, openness to change, and motivate team adaptation
Proactively identify areas for improvement in procedures and communicate risks to timelines
Consistently strive to improve skills and knowledge in related field
